Children’s Ministry

At Wellspring, we believe that children are an essential part of the church community. As such, if you would like to keep your baby or child with you during service, you are welcome to. (We know they will sometimes make a little noise, and that is o.k.)

Alternatively, children may join our Children’s Ministry, which is not school, nor childcare, but a time for children to discover Jesus’ love through the stories of God’s work in the world, the attentive care of adult volunteers, and friendship with other children.

A Word on Safety

We place a high priority on providing a safe environment. Volunteers are screened, background checked, and trained; emergency evacuation plans are in place; and a health policy is present.

Sunday Morning Info and Check-in

Children’s Ministry is divided into five rooms located in both the main building and the building adjacent to it:

  • Nursery

  • Toddler (to 2.5yrs.)

  • Preschool (2.5yrs. - K)

  • Kindergarten-3rd grade

  • 4th-5th grade

Check-in occurs inside the main entrance on 14th Street. We ask that parents arrive 15 minutes early to allow enough time to check in.

  • Once nursery, toddler, and preschoolers are checked in, children may be dropped off in their respective classrooms.

  • K-3 and 4th/5th graders remain with their families in the sanctuary through the opening worship set and will be dismissed before the teaching begins.

For every family whose children are regular participants in Children’s Ministry, we hope that one adult will consider serving in our classrooms once a month. Thank you!

If you have questions, please email our Children’s Ministry Director: trish@wellspringchurchpg.org.

Nursing Mothers’ Room

Nursing mothers and those who have young children are welcome to use our nursing mother’s room located on the 13th Street side of the sanctuary (behind the organ). There you will find a t.v. to watch the service, a sofa, a changing table, and a bathroom.
